Award-Winning Female Rapper SANTA was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York to Haitian parents.  She was raised in both locations, thus becoming a product of two richly influential cultures.  The only female in a family consisting of two male siblings, SANTA’s brothers contributed to her being a bit of a tomboy in her adolescence.

At a young age SANTA knew rapping was what she inspired to do.  A chance encounter with Slick Rick, at the tender age of 8, sparked the fuel of this fire.  Having spent the majority of her formative years in Haiti, Kreyol became her first language.  Through Slick Rick’s extraordinary albums, SANTA quickly learned English thus sparking her affinity for making music.

Since SANTA has been exposed to all kinds of music, as her influences, she sites Coupe Cloue, Jay-Z, Tupac, Jacques Sauveur Jean, Lauryn Hill and Biggie to name a few.  By the time SANTA was 12 years old, she had already recorded her first track.  Since the age of 13, SANTA has had 3 production deals and 2 record deals.  In 2003, fresh from being released from her record deal with Grammy Award winning producer, Fabrizio Sotti, SANTA decided to go independent, releasing songs and mix tapes in French, Kreyol and English.  “The Preview”, which was released within 2 months of SANTA’s departure from Sotti Records, gained SANTA enough street credibility to have major label Executives knocking on SANTA’s door.  SANTA declined many offers, insisting bigger things will come, and continued to take creative control of her music career.  Promo-tours were created to circulate “The Preview” in states such as Miami, South Carolina, North Carolina, New York, and Boston.  

Following “The Preview”, SANTA decided to change things up, showing versatility to broaden her market and fan base.  “Je’m Appelle SANTA” (My Name is SANTA) was created.  SANTA took popular tracks and rapped over them in French, Kreyol and English, Switching from one language to another, which reflects how most 1st generation Haitian and Africans speak in the U.S.

“Je’m Appelle SANTA” was an instant hit.  SANTA performed along side some of the biggest acts in the Haitian and French community.  The Kreyol Hip-Hop movement was now created, and SANTA had now gained a fan base not only within the English speaking market, but also to the French and Kreyol speaking market, such as the Canadians, Africans and Haitians to name a few.


SANTA has had her rites of passage within the music industry.  With over 10 years of actively being involved in the music industry, she is currently pursuing a degree in Entertainment Law.  SANTA has teamed up with partner Rhoda Cantave, who is also a 10 year veteran in the music industry and has handled some of the biggest acts in Pop and R&B, as an International Marketing Specialist at Jive Records.  The two ladies have formed LienCa Music, Inc. an independent label that focuses on marketing music, not just nationwide but internationally.

Independently, SANTA has released 4 mixtapes and her debut album “The Delivery“.  Her first single, “No Panties” from her debut album, “The Delivery”, has received over 400,000 downloads worldwide. Her second single “Art of Seduction” has become a national and international hit. After receiving over 1,000 radio plays a week in the U.S and being on rotation in Germany, France, Czech Republic, Italy, Canada and Africa to name a few, “Art of Seduction” charted #19 and jumped to #4 in less then a week on the Urban Music Charts.  In 2010, “Art of Seduction” received over 8 award nominations from several independent music award shows, including Video of The Year.   More less SANTA has also charted Top 10 Independent Artist on RadioWave and Live365.com over 3 times.
 
 In 2010, SANTA won “Best Female Rapper” at the 2010 Underground Music Awards, which is considered the Grammy’s of underground music. Although SANTA has many critics, there is one thing they will all agree on, and that is through her music, her bigger then life personality, and unbelievable live performances, this young lady is destined for greatness.    In addition to being an artist, CEO, full-time student, SANTA has organized and fully funded events to raise money for non-profit organizations that help shelter, cloth, educate and feed children in Haiti.  Teaming up with  New York’s Power 105.1, SANTA has thrown some of the most extravagant events for these organizations, in some of Manhattans most luxurious penthouses.  These events were being hosted by some of the biggest names in the music industry such as JadaKiss, Ralph McDaniels, DJ Clue, Red Café, and Kid Capri.  Commercials and ticket give a ways anticipated the hype for these events and gained SANTA respect as CEO of LienCa Music, Inc., and also as a businesswoman.
